Monk builds for high difficulty areas.
I just did the rragar's menagarie hm dungeon. We did it with 6 ursans and 2 monks. Since the other person's build was kinda bad and I thought my heroes were set up fairly well I switched his to mine.
They were set up as. (please note I have never done any dungeon and so this was just general builds).
Dunkoro healer, WoH(E), orison, dwaynas kiss, ethereal light, healing seed(some war begged me to bring it and he was leader), power drain, waste not want not.
Tahl Zealous benediction (E probably bad idea), gole, aegis, rof, guardian, soa, dismiss condition.
These were just general builds but I kind of figured it'd do ok. Boy it was hard even with flagging them back and precasting aegis, charr and oozes would spike down my dunkoro and tahl didn't seem to help as much, but did better since she was at like 20dp when dunk was 60.
So, just wondering what kind of dual monk builds you guys would use (for hard areas or just for general use with 6 ursanway 2 monk groups).

I use this build a lot in HM:
Prot:
RoF, SoA, PS, BL {E}, Cure Hex, Dismiss Cond, GolE, Aegis
Need to check my healer when I get online again, it's probably something like:
LoD {E} (need to replace that one), D-Kiss, Ethereal, Holy Haste, PS, ROF, Dismiss Cond, Res chant.
P-drain and 'waste not' spells trouble all over, since your heroes need to be on guard and not avoid!

Yeah, I usually do set my monks to guard. I used to put power drain and leech signet on all my caster heroes. Interrupting a spell is just as good as out healing it most of the time. But it seems like now and days they have trouble keeping up all the heals since lod was nerfed.

please be so kind and stop using those 2 -3 letter desciptions. its really confusing since most shortcuts like sv are used for multiple skills at once
try out the [ skill][/skill] and [build][/build ] options of the forum. its so much better to understand!

To clarify those skills. Reversal of fortune, shield of absorption, protective spirit, blessed light. I am assuming anyways.

In most areas I prefer to run offensive heros or Sab's 3 necro build, but some areas need more prot or healing than the henchmen can provide, in which case I run one of the following builds:
I try not to use many 10 energy skills, especially on the prot monk, because the hero will quickly drain themselves of energy. They don't manage their skills as well as a human, and a wasted 5e spell is a lot less trouble than a wasted 10e spell.
You can sub rebirth for the res skill of your choice. I usually keep it disabled and only use it to recover from a bad situation. If your healers are doing their job, they don't need a res, and hard res shouldn't be used in the middle of battle.
Some prot skill bars:
Protection prayers 12+3+1 or 12+1+1
Divine Favor 12 + 1

You can always throw in some mesmer hex removal, or a mesmer stance for protection (mantra of fire/frost/earth/lightning or physical/elemental resistance). The mantras also help with energy management, if you're having that problem.
Infuse health can be a big benefit in hard mode areas. Just be careful if you have a minion master, because the hero will infuse the minions. Don't use anything that has half or touch range if you don't want your healing hero to run into the fray to heal your front line. Words of comfort and dwayna's kiss can be used to heal through hexes and conditions, which is often better than removing them, depending on what they are and how often they are re-applied
Healing skillbars:
Healing prayers 12+3+1 or 12+1+1

Since the nerf to Light of Deliverance, I haven't used it much, but here are a few of work-in-progress skill bars for areas that need a party heal.
Healing prayers 12+3+1 or 12+1+1
Divine favor 12+1
[skill]Light of Deliverance[/skill][skill]words of comfort[/skill][skill]signet of rejuvenation[/skill][skill]orison of healing[/skill][skill]infuse health[/skill][skill]dwayna's kiss[/skill][skill]signet of devotion[/skill][skill]holy haste[/skill]
Mo/E party healer
Healing prayers 12+3+1 or 12+1+1
Divine favor 12+1
[skill]Blessed light[/skill][skill]heal party[/skill][skill]signet of rejuvenation[/skill][skill]orison of healing[/skill][skill]infuse health[/skill][skill]dwayna's kiss[/skill][skill]signet of devotion[/skill][skill]glyph of lesser energy[/skill]

There are also some non-monk options for healing and protection, such as the restoration necro from Sab's 3 necro build:

A restoration rit lord hero like this one might do okay - you might have to micro the energy management a bit, although I have a hero that uses empowerment and mighty was vorizon - she seems to do okay with it.

Both of these require your heroes to be set to defense rather than avoid in order to use some of the skills. While not necessarily wrong, healers do fare better on avoid in most cases. Just something to keep in mind.
